This website is the brainchild of Dave Seroski. Dave lives in Trabuco Canyon, California - an area frequently threatened by brush fires. Richard Saunders is the webmaster and photographer for the site. Dave and Richard met through SOARA (their local ham radio club). They have been friends for several years and are both active in helping their community with disaster communications. Because of their ham radio background, you will find several references to the importance of good communications during disasters.

• Providing FRS/GMRS Radios to canyon dwellers so that they can communicate when the phones go out.

• Where's the fire? - A message board where people can exchange information during disasters.

• Helping the Holy Jim Canyon Volunteer Fire Department install a business band radio repeater to enable communications within and out of the canyons.
